The Paty Collection

The Paty Collection is a celebration of legacy, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty—pieces made the way heirlooms always should be.

This story begins in 1955, when a 14-year-old girl named Ruth, alongside her mother and four sisters, began knitting garments by hand in their garage in Peru. With nothing more than skill, determination, and a deep respect for their craft, these five women created pieces rooted in love and tradition. Paty, the brand’s namesake, is their niece—an enduring symbol of family, heritage, and generational artistry. Using only the finest 100% cotton sourced from the Carolinas, each Paty garment is still created the same way it was decades ago—starting from a single spool of yarn.

Every piece is carefully knitted, sewn, and finished by hand, preserving a level of quality that simply cannot be replicated by mass production.

After selling their factory in Peru, Ruth and her family came to the United States with just three knitting machines from England and an unwavering belief in their work. They were turned away by countless well-known retailers, until one small shop owner in Texas—already importing similar garments from Spain—saw the extraordinary value in their craftsmanship.

That moment marked the beginning of Paty as we know it today. These are not fast-fashion pieces. They are thoughtfully made, heirloom-quality garments designed to be cherished, worn, and passed down. When you choose Paty, you’re investing in over 70 years of tradition, family, and uncompromising quality—stitched into every single piece.
